A Winter is Coming...

So excited to be a part of Ltd. Gallery' show "A Winter is Coming". All art was inspired by the books of A Song of Ice and Fire and the characters, including my favorite mother of dragons!

Hunchback Theme

I've really been enjoying pen and ink recently. I think the permanence of the media has been a good challenge in terms of having to plan each mark ahead of time while still trying to maintain a loose, gestural quality...

These were all drawn with a calligraphy pen and shaded with a dried out Tombo marker

Hundreds

I had the awesome opportunity to do another graphic for the Hundreds!
The concept was to illustrate a devilish angel (or angelic devil) character in the style of those classic cartoons we all used to watch growing up...

Astronaut Dreams

A little while ago I had the chance to do this illustration for the Hundreds. The concept given to me was to depict a little kid playing with his dog, dreaming of being an astronaut. The nostalgic "Dick and Jane" feel points to the fact that it's hard to find kids now days that still dream up homemade spaceships and suits. Awesome concept Bobby!

Smash Ups

Here's a cool exercise that our team tried at work: Take 2 or more Disney properties, then mix, mash, stir, etc.. to come up with something different.

Mine was Wall-E + Tron =.....
